It flew by, but soon enough the blissfully wedded couple were celebrating their first anniversary with a fun camping trip. The tradition continued onto the 2nd year and may it go on for many happy years to come.
Always striving for excellence, Nick and Heather returned to Ft. Lauderdale again for the Tae Kwon Do Nationals. Heather did a superb job and placed 2nd again. Meanwhile, the employees of the Cold Stone Creamery across the street from the Hotel referred to Nick as a superb customer.
Although it wasn’t put to much use the first winter, come spring Nick and Heather immediately started a tradition of hosting bonfires and parties in their back yard.
Having realized that houses cost money…and there’s always something needs to be done (which costs money) Nick and Heather both took new jobs in March 2010 within weeks of each other.
Realizing that a quaint 2-bedroom affair in Golden Valley could not contain their lavish lifestyle. Nick and Heather made the upgrade every owner of Boardwalk and Park Place do as soon as possible. They bought a house. You don’t even want to know what the rent is if you land on it.
Continuing their support of local athletic clubs, Nick and Heather made it a point to attend the final regular season game of the Minnesota Twins at the Metrodome.
As a nice little birthday gift, Nick and Heather returned to Ft. Lauderdale so Heather could compete for a spot on the US National Team. Though she didn’t make it that year, it’s a pretty rare honor to even it make it there.
Finally, something happy for everyone. On August 1st, 2009, in a ceremony that some say inspired the recent royal wedding, Nick and Heather became husband and wife.
Just a month and a half after starting the gym, Heather and Nick both competed at the AAU Tae Kwon Do Nationals in Ft. Lauderdale. Heather took 2nd place in Sparring and Nick thinks the judges had to be asleep during his form.
In May 2009, Nick and Heather ventured off onto their own when they started their own Tae Kwon Do program in Minnetonka.
